Brought to life

Another shot rang out hit the ground at their feet. Sirens began to sound, the Engineering district wasn't too fond of firearms, prefering their metal contraption to police the area. Speaking of which one had made it's way to the duo proclaiming.
"ENGINEER HAS BEEN KILLED, SENDING GOLEM TO INVESTIGATE TRAJECTORY LOCATION." the golem then turned it's attention towards Rin and Pheris. "HUMANS PLEASE PROCURE REGISTRATION FOR SCANNING." Pheris looked at Rin before quickly grabbing his M-RK5 and programming in a code to commandeer the golem for their own purposes.
"SCANNING, SCANNING, CODE ACCEPTED, COMMAND ME TO SERVE." The golem bowed before straightening up again.
"Take us to the tram."
"AS YOU COMMAND." The golem began to make it's way towards the shortest route to the trams. Meanwhile another golem had made it to the rooftops.
"SCANNING, SCANNING, MURDER WEAPON IDENTIFIED, BY THE ENGINEERING DISTRICT YOU ARE UNDER ARREST."

Justice watched her second shot miss and muttered, "That's it, I'm getting this thing adjusted when I get back." She didn't get a chance for a third when the golems had been dispatched and she watched as one of the suspects hacked the one scanning them while she grumbled, "...Fuckin' tech junkies. I hate this shit." She pulled her sniper rifle off of the roof and hit the switch to collapse it into assault rifle mode, ejecting the sniper clip and slamming in the rifle rounds just as one came to check on her. When it told her she was under arrest she smiled and said, "Oh, alright. Sorry about that, but I could you hold this?" before unloading her full clip into the golem.

Rin was pissed off to all ends. he turned to Pheris with a pissed off look, even though it was shrouded by the black hood Pheris could still feel the intense pissed off glare.

'how did I let myself get pulled into this...'

"Hey you didn't have to chase me. none of this would've happened if I hadn't been tackled through a window." Pheris was beginning to find Rin's mood to be abit off putting considering he quite liked the guy. More gunshots rang through the air.
"UNIT 259 HAS BEEN INCAPACITATED, SUSPECT IS EVADING ARREST, SENDING UNITS 125 328 AND 621 TO INTERCEPT." the golem proclaimed as it lead the duo towards the tram. "SUSPECT REGISTERED AS JUDITH BRIMSTONE, UNAUTHORISED IN ENGINEERING DISTRICT, CAPTURE IF NECESSARY."

Justice had her eyes narrowed with focus but her mouth was smirking as she reached the edge of the roof and looked across at the next building. She took a running start, jumped and hit the roof with a roll before looking back and thinking, "Any further and I'd be painting the sidewalk." She then started at full speed again, the next gap being small, an easy jump but then she was running out of roof and could see her prey down below, getting away. She knew more golems would be coming, after her subtle show with the first one, so she walked onto the fire-escape of the building, opting to jump the rail and hold onto the side before letting go and dropping to the next ledge, the weight of her gun and armor making her arms burn from the force of keeping herself from falling again and again until, finally she was hitting the street. She was getting tired but my have bought some time from the golems and took off in the direction she'd seen the two runners before.

"DESTINATION REACHED, STANDING BY FOR FURTHER COMMANDS." Pheris checked his M-RK5 to make sure they were getting on the right tram before helping Rin aboard.
"No further commands, return to previous assignment." Pheris told the golem before activating the tram for the outer reaches.
"RETURNING TO PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT, TRACKING DOWN MURDER SUSPECT JUDITH BRIMSTONE." the golem took off in a general direction as the tram began to power up for travel.

Justice reached the tram's station just as it was leaving and growled under breath as she had every suspicion that her prey was on the one that was leaving right at that moment. She sent a message to command, [Need destination of tram 72-D424 Now! Tracking high danger targets on board] She only had to wait a short time before the message came back, [J. Brimstone you are outside of your jurisdiction and are hereby ordered back to command A.S.A.P.] She rolled her eyes and sent back [Hacked bots and fleeing criminals ARE my jurisdiction. Returning through previous entrance inadvisable. Taking discreet route out of district. See you soon and you'd better have my info] She shouldered her rifle and glanced around before ducking away from the tram station and began to head for a nearby alleyway.

As the tram was travelling Pheris checked the log to see where exactly they were headed. Read out displayed {NEXT STOP: RUSTYTOWN} which was an old backwater town supposedly tormented by demons. He'd heard tales of the Engineers there and that it held a secret no one knew about, but possibly had a connection to the demon attacks.
"well it's gonna be abit, may as well enjoy the ride." Pheris laid back waiting for the indicator that they had reached their destination.

Justice was tired... Her hair had fallen almost completely out of its "tail" and her magazines were getting low as she left two more golems downed by the gate she exited, walking out of the district with a, "You stay right there and be a lesson to the rest of the fucking bots around here!" Finally out of the district she sent a message, [Send a ride now. Track location through equipment, I don't feel like looking it up. On foot 'till then and you'd better make sure to have info squared away] She refused to walk at anything less than a march, the pain in her muscles burning under the weight of her armor now and her face a scowl of fatigue and frustration but she wasn't giving up yet.

'bling, bling, bling' Pheris was awoken by the sound of the indicator going off, they were at their destination.
"Rin wake up we're here." As the duo got out of the tram they were approached by a golem that seemed crossed between stone and metal. Pheris' stone was beginning to vibrate, indicating that his suspicions were correct and it was powered by magic.
"GOLEM GREETER 6B-2, PLEASE STATE NAME AND BUSINESS." The golem exclaimed.
"We are looking for refuge, can you help us."
"ALERT, DEMONS APPROACH, PLEASE MAKE WAY TO TOWN HALL." The golem then shifted changing into an attack form. Pheris didn't need telling twice, he grabbed Rin and they quickly made their way to the building marked {TOWN HALL} where they quickly entered, closing the door behind then.

Justice had made her way back to the precinct, walking past the front desk and saying to the clerk there in a clearly threatening, mock-casual tone, "Gloria, I haven't received an update on tram 72-D424's departure from the industrial district. Could you be a dear and bring it to me in file form, along with a fresh payload of rifle ammunition and stun-grenades? I'm going to hit the showers." The blonde woman looked distraught and her eyes glanced around before she nodded silently and her fingers got to work. Justice walked through the locker room, tossing her gear haphazardly near the doorway to the showers with no fear that someone would tamper with it. She stripped down and grabbed a towel before entering the shower area and turning on the water. She was just starting to relax when Gloria's voice sounded from outside of view, "Your info is on the bench in the-" She was cut off when Justice said in a loud, sing-song voice, "Gloria? Come over here so we can talk, would you?" There was a long hesitation and then Gloria stepped into view, her white blouse and knee length, dark blue skirt impeccable and her black heels shined up as always completely contrasting the worried look on her face. Justice began to approach stepping up to the doorway and relishing the worried look on the receptionist's face as she then leaned against the wall, still dripping wet and completely nude while she said, "Don't I pay you keep me informed on the field?" Before Gloria could answer she continued, "...And don't I pay you to get me that info even when the superiors don't want me to have it?" Gloria finally stammered, "I know! I have to circumvent their-" Her voice cut off when Justice stepped up and grabbed her by the throat, backing her through the locker room and up against the lockers as she said, "You get me that info when I send for it, always, and if I fail to get an update when I want one then I will make sure some very unhappy people pay you a very unkind visit, are we clear?" Gloria's eyes were closed as she gasped, "...Yes." Justice let her go and ran a hand over her blonde hair as she said, "You're free to go, but I want you to keep your phone on tonight. I might stop by to make up for the rough treatment just now." Gloria's cheeks blushed as she turned to leave and Justice smiled as she watched go before continuing to get ready for round two.

"Hmm, I was expecting someone.. older." A mysterious voice echo around the hall. Pheris quickly turned around to see who was talking.
"You seem younger than the oracle's eye described." An old looking man sitting on what looked like an iron throne, holding a clockwork staff. The man had a long white beard, which contrasted with his thin red hair. He was flanked by two golems.
"Well do you have a name boy?" The man appeared to be addressing Pheris.
"Umm, m-my name is Pheris." He was surprised he had revealed his name.
"Ahh so it is you. I believe you hold in your possession two objects that will help us greatly. You see these demon's are nothing but a bother and we can't seem to produce enough energy to run this place at maximum capacity." The man stared at Pheris. "So my boy, do you wana learn our secret?"

Justice was driving along in a cruiser, pedal flat and sirens blaring as she muttered, "Fucking Rustytown?... Fucking Rustytown? Seriously? Assholes are going to get themselves killed before I get a chance to do it for them!" She took a turn, the car drifting around the bend and sliding into the oncoming traffic lane before pulling back onto the correct side and causing civilians who had stopped due to the sound of her sirens to cringe, barely avoiding being hit. She continued her utterances, "If the captain would just okay the explosive rounds this wouldn't be a problem but, of course not, let's just pamper the bad guys and let them keep their empires... damned idiots."

"Wait so you want this?" Pheris held up the red prism. "I mean it gets rid of demons easy enough sure, so i guess it'd be useful for you guys."
"It does more than that my boy, It traps demon within, and using the right device, it can produce energy from the demons trapped inside. Given we get a near endless assault from demons at night, this object will help us thrive." The man indicated the prism in Pheris' hand.
"And we just happen to have just the device for it, but first we must get to it past the demons. Ah now where did your friend go?" Pheris hadn't even noticed Rin slip out. He'd grown quite attached to him and was hurt that he'd said nothing.
"I'll help but first I need to find my friend."
"Don't worry he'll return. Now I will have some of our golems escort you to the device."

Justice had calmed down enough to not miss her turn and was heading toward the point of no return, the entrance to Rustytown. She pulled the vehicle over and opened the door, setting the high-discouragement security system on it and then beginning the hunt on foot.

Pheris continued down the path flanked by two battle golems, their bodies half caked in demon blood and scorch marks. they had encountered a lot of demons but the golems had made little work of them, only two had been lost.
"THIS IS THE DEVICE, PLEASE PLACE PRISM INSIDE RECEPTACLE." One of the golems indicated the open slot in the device. Pheris stared at the prism before placing it in the device. The device began to buzz and whir as it activated, lifting into the air and giving of a radiant red glow. beams started to shoot down, supposedly trapping demons.
"THE KEEPER THANKS YOU, PLEASE RETURN TO THE TOWN HALL." Pheris made his way to the town hall, looking forward to the promise of learning the secret of this town from the old man.

Justice kept it fast, but quiet and stuck to the shadows. Her caution seemed warranted judging by the figures that she saw here and there and something inside her was feeling a thrill with the idea that firing on one of them would bring a likely insurmountable force down upon her. She had a few ideas of the most likely places to look for her prey but none of them were from the tower in the distance that she saw light up and begin emitting red beams around the area near it. She wasn't sure it had anything to do with the fugitives she was after, but it certainly called for it's own investigation. She sent the message, [Strange occurance in Rustytown, looks like high energy emissions of some kind. Investigating.] before taking off in that general direction.

in the fray of a lot of bullcrap, Rin had given the slip and hid behind a random building, he didn't care anymore. he just wanted to get away from that Psycho Pheris and that crazy bitch Justice.

'man...what am I even doing with my life anymore?'

he felt a little disoriented and lost as he thought about what to do next. and as much as he didn't like thinking about it, where DID Pheris go?

Justice decided to keep it slow and steady, making her way in a circular movement through alleys until she spotted what appeared to be an abandoned building with a questionable fire-escape she could use to get a good vantage point, hopefully keeping out of sight in the process.

Pheris was heading in the direction he thought the town hall was in, but he wasn't sure.
"Dammit how can I get myself lost, this place isn't THAT big." He continued onward when he noticed a shadow behind one of the buildings. It couldn't be,
"Rin is that you?" Pheris quickly headed toward the shadow hoping it was Rin, he missed him and was hoping to show him how he felt.

'Shit...' Rin tried to get up to run but the pleading tone of Pheris slowed him down as he caught up.

Pheris slowed to a walk as he got closer to Rin.
"Hey, I've been wondering where you got off to."
He approached Rin with sincerity in his voice.
"I'm sorry if you thought I was ditching you," Pheris suddenly began to feel nervous "I-I started to miss you." He blushed.
"Since you first spoke to me, I-I've sorta.." He looked Rin in the eyes through his hood, he could see his eyes and he just felt.
"Oh to hell with it." Pheris pulled back his mouthguard and kissed Rin right on the lips, lingering for a moment before drawing back. Pheris blushed again, holding his arm.
"I d-don't know what came over me. I-I'm sorry." He then ran off feeling silly for what he had done. He didn't even know where he was going.

Rin stood there dumbstruck for a minute before running after Pheris.
'H-hey wait!!'
Rin picked up the speed knowing he was faster then Pheris he caught up and when he was close enough he lunged at him pulling Pheris into a hug.

Feeling the warmth of Rin's small frame, Pheris pulled in closer, hugging him tightly.
"I-I think.." No he couldn't be thinking about love he'd only just met the guy.
"I think I wana stay with you." Pheris blushed feeling silly again. He suddenly broke out of his emotional state realising what he was doing before. "wait I have something to show you." Pheris got up again before picking Rin up and planting another kiss on his lips.

Rin couldn't help but be surprised again at the sudden kiss and affection that Pheris was showing him. he spoke in slight raspy breaths after the kiss ended.
'a-are you sure you want to stay with...someone like me?'
